Pressed Flower Workshop

Spend a Summer morning in the flower field, learning the art of flower pressing from Charina of Orchid & Pine Studio. You'll harvest your own petite bouquet with guidance, then press your blooms using professional techniques designed to keep colors vibrant and forms intact. No muddy, discolored petals here.

Charina will cover the essentials of the craft:

• The tools that actually work: what to use, what to skip, and how to set up a pressing kit for real results
• Timing your harvest: the ideal window to pick flowers so they hold their color and shape
• Preventing browning: proven methods to keep blooms looking fresh, not faded
• Getting the best from your press: pressure, paper choices, layering, and troubleshooting

From there, you'll apply what you've learned to create a personalized floral card to take home.

Traditional flower presses will be provided for use during class, and personal presses will be available for purchase if you'd like to keep pressing after the workshop, or bring your own.

Wear a hat, bring water, and enjoy a morning in the flower field. Additional you-pick bouquets will be available for purchase after class if you'd like more fresh flowers to enjoy. Only legitimate service animals allowed; children under 12 may not use snips. Port-a-loo on site.
