What to Expect
Do you ever feel out of sync—physically, mentally, or emotionally? Whether it's due to life’s demands, travel, late nights, unhealthy eating, or lack of exercise, finding balance can feel challenging. If you're looking for a personalized approach to wellness, this workshop is for you.
Rooted in ancient India, Ayurveda—the “Science of Life”—teaches that each of us has a unique constitution. It provides time-tested methods to maintain harmony between the body, mind, and spirit, helping us align with the natural rhythms of nature.
For over 5,000 years, people have turned to Ayurveda to restore energy, enhance well-being, and create sustainable health. Now, more than ever, its wisdom remains relevant in our fast-paced modern world.
In this workshop, you will: ✔ Learn the fundamental principles of Ayurveda and how to apply them in daily life. ✔ Discover your unique Ayurvedic constitution (Dosha) and recognize early signs of imbalance. ✔ Explore simple yet effective ways to restore balance through seasonal routines, daily self-care practices, healing foods, and Ayurvedic herbs.
Join us on this journey to reconnect with your natural state of well-being and vitality!
Vika completed her classical Ashtanga Yoga Teachers Training YTT200 and YTT300 at Mount Madonna Institute School of Yoga and further deepened her holistic knowledge by earning her certification as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) from the Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda.
As an instructor, Vika is part of the rotating teaching team at Mount Madonna’s Redwood Room, leading both Classical Ashtanga and All Levels Asana classes. She tailors her instruction to support each student’s unique abilities and aspirations, integrating Ayurvedic principles—such as seasonal changes and time of day—to enhance balance and well-being.
Vika’s personal Asana practice is Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois. Being deeply committed to lifelong learning, she continues her immersion in yoga and its related disciplines through ongoing studies in Sanskrit grammar and Vedic chanting.
A group of South Bay Ashtangis dedicated to the practice of Ashtanga yoga. Instruction by Anne Finstad, Erez Galil, and Daniela Kosmalski.
As the Bay Area Ashtanga Collective, we endeavor to be a member supported yoga studio where new and existing students can practice first and foremost, and the generosity of the group clears a path for all to participate at the financial level they can. Those who feel the calling can donate to support the studio as a member, or just offer what they can give.
