Bea Byrne is an international maker, textile artist, and creative instructor based in Oakland. Originally from the UK, Bea spent years refining and teaching her craft in the creative hubs of London and Tokyo before bringing her talents to the Bay Area. She leads diverse, highly engaging workshops across the apparel and lifestyle arts—ranging from sewing and quilting to jewelry making and natural skincare—while passionately consulting with fellow artists to help scale their businesses and creative income.
WorkshopSF is a legendary San Francisco DIY institution founded in 2009 by Kelly Malone and David Knight to rescue adults from the tractor beam of their screens and tune up their creative volume. Operating as a vibrant, inclusive, and strictly 21-and-over alternative to the usual bar scene, this lo-fi studio focuses on teaching accessible, home-friendly skills alongside a badass crew of passionate local makers.
