About This Event
The 41st Annual Hands on the Arts Festival is a long-running Sunnyvale tradition celebrating creativity, culture, and hands-on learning for kids and families.
Hosted by the City of Sunnyvale as part of its Unity Events, the festival brings together a wide range of art workshops led by Art Workshop Leaders, with all supplies included.
Young artists can try activities such as:
- Brush painting
- Mini zine making
- Slime
- String art
- Coloring
- Clay creations
- Face painting
- Drawing
- And more
Workshops are organized by recommended minimum age, making it easier for families to find activities that fit their children.
There will also be roaming performers throughout the festival grounds, plus food trucks on site.
Admission is free.
Families can bike to the event and use the free bike valet, take Sunnyvale Beam, or park in the Community Center lots.
Art workshops are subject to change.
Volunteer note The City is also looking for volunteers to help Art Workshop Leaders with supplies, kids’ activities, and general event support. Volunteer shifts are available for teens 13–17 and adults, but advance registration is required.
