    About This Event

Join us for a relaxed Rakhi DIY evening at Mansion Grove, design your rakhi, meet your neighbors, and enjoy some chai together!

What is Rakhi: A Rakhi is a decorative thread traditionally tied during the Indian festival of Raksha Bandhan as a symbol of love, care and the bond between siblings and loved ones. They can be colorful, playful, simple or intricately handmade and this time, you can create your own.

What to Expect: We’ll bring the creative supplies, colorful threads, wool, charms, cutouts, decorative pieces, and lots more and you bring your imagination. Mix and match your favorites, try new combinations, and create rakhis that are completely your own. ☕ Chai and juice will be provided

Perfect for: kids, families, siblings, friends and anyone still looking for that special rakhi before the weekend. We’ll also have mini guided sessions to help kids experiment with different styles and designs, with support from a Mansion Grove resident.

Whether Rakhi is something you’ve celebrated for years or you’re simply curious to learn about it, come join us!
